What is Cataracts?

Cataract is an eye disease, it happens when the lens of the eye becomes opaque.

Causes

Diabetes, metabolic disorders, ageing.
Heredity.
Use of steroids.
Trauma, exposure to radiation.
Alcohol, smoking.

Symptoms

Problem with bright light, blurred vision, double vision, pupil discoloured to whitish grey, colours dimming, affected night vision, difficulty in reading.

Remedy (Nuskhe)

Mix 1 teaspoon rose water (gulab jal) with 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice. Add 10 drops of this to the eyes.
Soak 10-12 almonds in a cup of water overnight. Next morning remove skin and grind the almonds with 10-12 peppercorns (sabut kali mirch) to a paste. Add a cup of water and honey or sugar to taste. Drink once daily. Continue for a few weeks.
